We're experiencing a cold snap here in Delaware, and it's reminding me (Sue) how much I love warm woolen mittens, hats, shawls and sweaters. There's no better way to enjoy the cold than to bundle up in something warm and beautiful, right? We have everything you need to create something lovely for yourself, a family member or friend, so do stop in.
How was your Christmas? We saw most of our kids and grands (we'll see the rest when we go visit in January). There was plenty of food and the presents were fun, as always. We especially enjoyed the time spent together, though, around the table and then watching Rudolph (the classic version) with our granddaughter Rowan for her first time.
Someone suggested I knit socks for all the kids and grands for Christmas next year, and I want you to know that would be sixteen, yes 16, pairs, and it would be quite a challenge! Maybe just for the grands... hmmm...
New Things: We received our shipment of Socks Yeah! yarn and we think you'll love the soft colors. It's interesting that they're all named after minerals, which appeals to my geeky side.
Trunk Show starts January 2. The Socks, Yeah! Trunk Show, which features Rachel Coopey's beautiful sock yarn, samples of her socks, and her book, Socks, Yeah! You won't want to miss seeing these gorgeous socks in person. The stitches and colorwork are beautiful!
Don't forget, we will soon be starting Knit Purl Hunter's Building Blocks skill building series which will take your knitting to new levels. The registration deadline is December 30, and you won't want to miss this opportunity!
Or if you just need some uninterrupted knitting time, please stop by to join us at the table with your project. You'll be in good company! Do bring your mug and tea, K-cup or hot beverage mix so that you may enjoy a warm beverage while you visit.
Enjoy your week and be sure to take time to enjoy the last few days of 2017. Happy New Year!
