The shop has been buzzing and we are so excited to see your finished pieces, talk with you about your works in progress, and assist you in finding the perfect pattern / yarn match for your next project. You make the shop fun and we love seeing you here! Thank you for coming in!
You'll see some changes in the shop over the next couple of weeks. The black wall behind the counter is now a chalkboard wall, so we expect to have some fun with it! We also had risers installed under our shelving units, so they are a little higher now, making the bottom row of cubbies easier to reach. We are also happy they are safe from dust bunnies, so we can now fill them all with yarn.
Speaking of yarn, we just received HiKoo Concentric, a worsted-weight alpaca gradient that is beautiful! We are now also stocking HiKoo Simplinatural, and amazingly luscious aran-weight blend of merino, alpaca and silk. The colors are gorgeous, and we have all of them in stock.
Don't forget, the CoopKnits Socks, Yeah! trunk show is here until the end of the month, and all Socks, Yeah! yarn is 10% off during the event. We have all 22 colors in stock, and it's been very popular!
We wish to thank everyone who came out to our End of Season Clearance Sale last week
despite snowy driveways and messy roads. We enjoyed seeing old and new faces, and it
was fun watching so many bargains go home with happy makers. The sale will continue
until all clearance items are gone. There is still an entire bookcase of bargains for you,
so come on in and check them out!
Finally, don't let cabin fever set in! You're invited to come in and knit or crochet with us any time.

We're experiencing a cold snap here in Delaware, and it's reminding me (Sue) how much I love warm woolen mittens, hats, shawls and sweaters. There's no better way to enjoy the cold than to bundle up in something warm and beautiful, right? We have everything you need to create something lovely for yourself, a family member or friend, so do stop in.
How was your Christmas? We saw most of our kids and grands (we'll see the rest when we go visit in January). There was plenty of food and the presents were fun, as always. We especially enjoyed the time spent together, though, around the table and then watching Rudolph (the classic version) with our granddaughter Rowan for her first time.
Someone suggested I knit socks for all the kids and grands for Christmas next year, and I want you to know that would be sixteen, yes 16, pairs, and it would be quite a challenge! Maybe just for the grands... hmmm...
New Things: We received our shipment of Socks Yeah! yarn and we think you'll love the soft colors. It's interesting that they're all named after minerals, which appeals to my geeky side.
Trunk Show starts January 2. The Socks, Yeah! Trunk Show, which features Rachel Coopey's beautiful sock yarn, samples of her socks, and her book, Socks, Yeah! You won't want to miss seeing these gorgeous socks in person. The stitches and colorwork are beautiful!
Don't forget, we will soon be starting Knit Purl Hunter's Building Blocks skill building series which will take your knitting to new levels. The registration deadline is December 30, and you won't want to miss this opportunity!
Or if you just need some uninterrupted knitting time, please stop by to join us at the table with your project. You'll be in good company! Do bring your mug and tea, K-cup or hot beverage mix so that you may enjoy a warm beverage while you visit.
Enjoy your week and be sure to take time to enjoy the last few days of 2017. Happy New Year!
